Privacy Policy

Tokushima Shiitake Farm (hereinafter referred to as "our shop") recognizes the importance of protecting our customers' personal information. We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Law") and strive to handle and protect personal information appropriately in accordance with the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Privacy Policy").

   In this Privacy Policy, personal information refers to personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Law, i.e., information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in such information (including information that can easily be cross-referenced with other information to identify a specific individual), or information containing a personal identification code.

   Our shop will use customers' personal information for the following purposes:

   (1) To provide our shop’s services
   (2) To provide information and respond to inquiries regarding our shop’s services
   (3) To provide information about our shop’s products, services, etc.
   (4) To respond to acts that violate our shop’s terms, policies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") related to our shop’s services
   (5) To notify of changes to the Terms of our shop’s services
   (6) To improve our shop’s services and develop new services
   (7) To create statistical data processed in a format that does not allow individual identification, related to our shop’s services

3. Changes to Purpose of Use of Personal Information
   Our shop may change the purpose of use of personal information within a reasonable scope related to the original purpose and will notify or announce to customers when such changes are made.

4. Restrictions on Use of Personal Information
   Except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations, our shop will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use without obtaining the customer's consent. However, the following cases are exceptions:

   (1) When based on laws and regulations
   (2) When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
   (3) When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
   (4) When necessary to cooperate with a national or local government, or a person entrusted by them, in carrying out their duties as prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the customer's consent may hinder the performance of those duties

5. Proper Acquisition of Personal Information
   Our shop will properly acquire personal information and will not do so through false or other improper means.

6. Safety Management of Personal Information
   Our shop will take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure the safe management of personal information to prevent risks such as loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage. Our shop will also appropriately supervise employees and contractors handling personal information to ensure safe management.

7. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
   Our shop will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the customer's consent in advance, except in cases where disclosure is permitted under the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations. However, the following cases do not constitute provision to third parties:

   (1) When our shop provides personal information in whole or in part to a contractor within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
   (2) When personal information is provided due to business succession through merger or other reasons
   (3) When jointly using personal information as provided under the Personal Information Protection Law

8. Disclosure of Personal Information
   When requested by a customer under the Personal Information Protection Law, our shop will, after confirming that the request is from the customer themselves, promptly disclose the personal information to the customer (if such personal information does not exist, we will notify the customer to that effect). However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to disclose due to the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

Personal information may be disclosed to payment companies for the purpose of identity verification, billing address verification, and credit checks.

1. Correction of Personal Information
   When requested by a customer for correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Correction, etc.") of personal information based on the Personal Information Protection Law due to it being untrue, our shop will, after confirming that the request is from the customer themselves, conduct necessary investigations without delay, and based on the results, make the necessary corrections and notify the customer (if a decision is made not to make such corrections, the customer will be notified to that effect). However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to make corrections, etc., due to the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

2. Suspension of Use of Personal Information
   When requested by a customer for suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension, etc.") of personal information based on the Personal Information Protection Law due to it being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use that was previously made public or due to it being obtained through false or other improper means, and it is found that the request has a valid reason, our shop will, after confirming that the request is from the customer themselves, promptly suspend or delete the personal information and notify the customer. However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to suspend or delete due to the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

3. Use of Cookies and Other Technologies
   Our shop’s services may use cookies and similar technologies. These technologies help our shop understand the usage status of our services and contribute to service improvement. Users can disable cookies by changing their web browser settings, but if cookies are disabled, some functions of our shop’s services may not be available.
